Haus Radio’s Sunset Stream
As you may or may not be aware, last month our ‘in-haus’ DJ’s Rye McIver and Craig Mars jetted off to Ibiza to DJ at a private rooftop terrace, with the stunning backdrop of the sun dipping under the horizon.
Yes, its reputation certainly precedes it.
For those who didn’t get to catch it or for those who are just generally still as buzzing about it as we are, the video sits above.
DJ Set 1: 7:30PM-8:30PM
Up first was Haus Founder and Merseyside DJ, Rye McIver.
Rye started off his set with an acapella vocal, which led him straight into a funky disco house track. It was a sure-fire way to get the vibe going as the mood was instantly set.
From this point onwards, and for the duration of the first half of his set, Rye smashed out banger after banger of both Funky and Disco House tracks, he sure got us moving!
Included in his set was some new material, some commercial and not to forget, those all-important Ibiza classics!
Towards the end of his set, Rye switched things up slightly with some tech house, in preparation of what our resident DJ Craig Mars had in store for the evening!
Overall, Rye performed exceedingly well and proved this through the technicalities he used within his performance.
DJ Set 2: 8:30pm – 9:30pm
Next up taking centre stage, and just in time for that renowned Ibiza sunset, was our weekly resident DJ Craig Mars.
Each week Craig astounds us all with his weekly instalment of 99 Techno Buhloones, which proves popular with our listeners, so we knew that this would be an immense set!
Craig’s set consisted of Melodic House and Techno tracks, which definitely created the perfect ambience for the sunset.
The tracks were carefully chosen and perfectly selected, and could be compared to that of Sasha.
All in all, Craig’s performance was spectacular and definitely proved his talent and versatility.
Our set up on the day was provided by ‘Ibiza DJ Equipment Hire’ who supplied provided us with not only the decks and the speakers, but also with the amazing opportunity to DJ on their terrace, which was breath-taking!
It was definitely a day to remember, with the most iconic and striking views.
For anyone interested, please message their page directly.
We would just like to say a big THANK YOU in particular to Adam from Ibiza DJ Equipment Hire for all of his help and preparation, and for giving us this amazing opportunity!
Also, for being the best host, and for making our Ibiza experience a memorable one!
Credits to Cansen for our amazing video, which you can find below!
This was included in the Ibiza DJ Equipment Hire Package, and we would highly recommend!
The video was shot with a 4K camera, and was also edited and then sent over to us in the highest possible quality.
“A picture speaks a thousand words”
and from watching back our video, it was evident that our passion and pleasure to be DJ’ing in Ibiza was perfectly captured, and we now have this memory to cherish and look back on.
In partnership with the stream was the brand new, Techno inspired club wear brand that is Acid87.
Taking its name and inspiration from the beginnings of the Acid house scene, their unique underground club wear gives ravers a place to express themselves.
Once our live stream is uploaded, keep a close eye out for some of their momentous prints, such as the legendary acid smiley face.
Check out their amazing range, which is increasingly popular amongst many famous faces at Acid87
We would also like to say a very special THANK YOU to our long-standing, resident DJ, Craig.
Craig has gone out of his way to sort out this whole experience for not only himself, but for Haus Radio as a whole.
Craig works hard to maintain his own personal work commitments, as well as DJ’ing, creating weekly instalments for our shows, which doesn’t go amiss!
Once again, THANK YOU!
So in a nutshell, Ibiza was an all-round amazing experience.
Those Ibiza blues are definitely hitting hard, but after an incredible experience and some inspiration, we are now working on bigger and better things.
Keep your eyes and ears peeled for some upcoming announcements within the next few weeks!
